How do I calculate a discount?
Multiply the price by the discount percentage and divide by 100 - that is your saving. Subtract it from the original price for the final price. A 15% discount on ₹80,000 saves ₹12,000, so you pay ₹68,000.
Do two discounts add up?
No. A 20% discount followed by a 10% discount is not 30% off - the second discount applies to the already reduced price. ₹1,000 becomes ₹800, then ₹720, which is 28% off overall.
What discounts do preschools commonly offer?
Sibling discounts (often 10-20% on the second child's tuition), early-bird discounts for enrolling before a date, referral discounts, and sometimes a waiver on the admission fee. Always ask - many are given only to parents who ask, and get them in writing.
