What the championship is

A free online exam for people who teach young children in India. The questions cover pedagogy, child development and classroom practice, and scores go on a national leaderboard.

The format

• •Ten multiple-choice questions
• •30 minutes, timed from the moment you press Start
• •Online, on a phone or a computer, wherever you are
• •Free to enter, with your result shown as soon as you submit
• •If something goes wrong on the day, such as a power cut or a dropped connection, you can re-book into another slot

Who it is for

It is written for preschool, nursery, kindergarten and daycare teachers, assistants and centre heads. The questions are about everyday practice with young children, the things you do in a classroom every week.

How to prepare

There is no fee and nothing to buy. Think about how young children learn through play, what to expect at each age, and how you keep a room calm and safe. Our teacher training guide and the list of courses for preschool teachers are good places to refresh.
