How do schools want age written on admission forms?
Most Indian admission forms ask for age “as on” a specific cut-off date, in years-months-days format (for example, 3 years 4 months 12 days as on 31 March). Set the second date to the school's cut-off to get exactly that.
How is the age calculated?
The calculator counts complete years first, then complete months, then the remaining days - the same convention schools and government forms use.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. The calculation works on real calendar dates, so 29 February birthdays and leap years are handled correctly.
