About preschools in Gangtok
Gangtok's preschools on Preschools Club span 3 franchise brands and many independent centres run by local owners. The most represented brands are Kidzee, Cambridge Montessori Preschool and Shemrock. Centres here follow the usual Indian age bands: playgroup from about 1.5 to 2.5 years, nursery from 2.5 to 3.5, LKG from 3.5 to 4.5 and UKG from 4.5 to 6. The main intake is April to June, ahead of the academic year, though many centres admit through the year whenever a seat is free. Listings carry a street address wherever we have one, and each school's page gives its contact number on request, so you can call ahead or visit before you shortlist. Alongside the franchise networks you will find independent playschools, daycares and creches, so compare both kinds before you decide.
Before you visit, read the 13-point visit checklist.
