Lots of policy talk about NEP 2020 and the foundational stage (3-8 years), Jadui Pitara, NIPUN targets etc. For those teaching in preschools that have 'adopted NEP', what concretely changed in your daily classroom practice? Or is it mostly rebranding?

Real change at ours: assessment moved from term 'tests' (yes, some preschools tested toddlers) to observation portfolios. We photograph work and log milestones instead. More work for teachers honestly, but far kinder and more useful.

Mother tongue instruction is the big one for us. We shifted circle time and stories to Kannada+English mix instead of English-only. Parents resisted at first, children blossomed. NCF-FS documents are actually worth reading, not just policy fluff.
